Gesine Born was a guest at BEAM at the beginning of the week. Over the last few months, she has been making “missed images”, AI images of female scientists whose work has not been appreciated or not sufficiently appreciated during their lifetime. Gesine Born gives these women the attention they deserve and presents them as their male colleagues have always been shown.

She also organized a two-day photography workshop with some of BEAM’s female doctoral researchers and employees under the motto “women in science”, in which she showed them how to present themselves strongly and confidently in front of the camera.
We are very happy that she visited us and was able to see the impact her great work has on us.
